As you can probably guess from my clever title that my engine is hungry for boost, fuel and timing belts. Yes timing belts. It all began when I replaced the head gasket and the belt that was on it looked good before that happened. I replace the head gasket and tighten everything up and I start it up and hear a squeak. I thought it was an accessory belt loose but after awhile it went away. I look it over after driving 30 miles and noticed the belt was stepped and there was a dusting of rubber all over the front of the motor. I pull the belt off and replace it and tighten it up to where it can deflect 1-2in and start it up and it does the same thing. I removed the tensioner completely when I pulled the head off to replace the gasket and didn't notice anything drop but is there supposed to be a washer or something between it and the block because it's riding on the outside of the tensioner and the cam cog.
