My first stop Tuesday evening is in Portland for a small NW Shelby-Dodge get together. Then head out Wed for Kamiah, ID for a stop to see my Mom.
After that is open.....

That engine bay is looking good! What font is that?

Man Johnny. Your pulling out all the stops in hopes of a GTP class victory at the car show
I hope you win it anyway . Driving that distance with a passenger and without a trailer is just awesome.

It is not a show car, won't win. But fun to show it.

I disagree it is the epitome of a show car. Is collectible / has interest / style and a great owner that shares it's story. It may not have a million dollar paint job or interior but we are not talking pebble beach concourse here.
I agree. This is THE show car. Our cars when not in the midst of our own are show cars. No one ever see these outside SDAC, for the most part. THIS car will rarely been seen at our shows, much less elsewhere. They made less than 100 and we will have 2 at our show this year.

I got home from the 5400 mile trip in the GTP.
Today I took the turbo out to see if it is the issue or something I did wrong. (only 8 to 9 lbs boost)
Also discovered the drivers side axle boot is split and needs replaced now.
Took the axle out, going to have it rebuilt.....somewhere.

Junk yarding!...came back with two items.
One: I think this is a 58mm Throttle Body.
Two: (the reason I went) Is the internal baffle that should fit my aluminum non-turbo
valve cover I used on my GTP. The one I had did not fit and I had to modify it to fit.
After which I discovered that around corners it let oil go to the wrong places and make
the car smoke. I am going to fix that. Sure it needs cleaned, but it was the only one
I found at the wrecking yard.

yep, that's a 58mm TB.

Mike sent me this shot he took back in 1993 when he had the car to use for writing an article about it.

Cool shot! I like the cars in the driveway, GTP, GLHS, AAbody; what's not to like?
