    Windshield Wiper Motor sensor

What is the correct word/terminology to call the part that is on the wiper motor? Its got about 4-5 prongs on it and plugs into the windshield wiper motor.

Is this piece a j-yard part only now?
Are they supplied with a new ww motor when purchased?

I just used my last spare one of these from a ww motor and transfered it to my GLHS. When taking the old one off the wiper motor, it just crumbled.

Are you talking about the connector for the wiper motor? I can tell you that the wiring connector which plugs into the motor is universal for certain years. I had some trouble with the motor in my shadow a while back and it ended up being the bracket on the motor which the ground goes through.

If you have a decent yard near by you will be able to find the connector for next to nothing.

If you are talking about the part on the motor which the connector goes into, then that would come with a new motor.

Or this picture too.... I do know NEW wiper motors usually do not come with this electrical plug in piece.

The piece you are pointing to comes on the new unit. You just have to plug the connector into it after a liberal application of dielectric grease.

    Cordes:
The wire harness connector plugs into the wiper motor. The part I'm talking about is right next/below it. The wire harness does not plug into this. This thing has a little circuit board on it with 4-5 terminals and that plugs into the motor.

What car is this for? Do you have a picture? I've done wiper motor work on several of my cars now and I'm at a loss.

ETA: What is that red arrow in your pic pointing at then? I have a wiper motor in my basement I could take a pic of if you need me to.

Its for a GLH, GLHS or SC. I do know that the rampage motor is different and wont have this electrical 4 prong connnector. I'll post a pic later since its fairly easy to unplug from the wiper motor.

Sounds good. I can take pics of my 86' GLHT or 86' GLH for reference if we need them.

I pulled the part and got the part # off of it.

A quick mopar parts search called it a SUPPRESSI ASSY W/S W (about $17.00 new)

    Here are some shots too.

I'll check and see if my GLHT has one of those. I don't think it does.

I called my local dodge dealer, this part is NS1 thru them anyway. I'll do some more looking at other sources to see if we can still get them. It just might be a j-yard for now.

    Re: Windshield Wiper Motor sensor

I just went through this as well on my Omni... it's a noise suppression block, mine had melted on my original wiper motor and the replacement from A1 Cardone didn't have one on it, said to use your existing. From what I can tell the design of the wiper motor was switched sometime in the 80s to a new design that didnt need this. I would suggest getting a newer style motor instead of you can help it. I ended up finding a non-melty block that fit it on a ~78 ram 150 at the junk yard..
