Re: project srt-4 mini

thank's guys. well I got it running yesterday in less than 35 days from the time i got the van home to now. being that the motor was already turbo it made the swap simpler. I need to make an exhaust and tightin up a few loose ends and it will be ready for the road.
with the 17'' wheels the van looks like a SUV. so I'm going to see if the srt struts, springs, spindals and brakes will work for the front. the back i'll go with the plate and air shocks.

thanks again Bryan for posting the pics. and thanks to Cindy from FWD Performance for the cal. that made it all possible.

Re: project srt-4 mini

Sweet, it's running already

Yeah, gotta lower it for sure. My lowered shadow even got taller with those 17's

If the SRT-4 hardware doesn't bolt up nicely, I think that a set of '89 Daytona struts and spindles should lower it a bit too.

Good eye,

Yes, it makes a big difference, the front end is so dancey on the highway, it feels alot more planted and it runs cooler. It does rub on speedbumps etc but I don't care, its very soft and flexible. Had to take it off though when it snowed.

Heres a front shot-

Yah 83psi cold. Which for the 8v's is really high, I think. My van sits at 60psi cold.

Re: project srt-4 mini

It looks like it sits lower than an 8V? I hope he does run it at the track.

What cal did you end up getting/using?

What size exhaust and what muffler?

Re: project srt-4 mini

I had a lot of fun doing this swap. after working on the charger the mini was like, well what can i say, look at all that room
stock electronics with a stage 5 dohc cal. from Cindy at FWD Performance. the tranny is from a 97 neon with a413 guts. the plug wires are from some 90's dohc honda. the exhaust is something that i slapped together, it sucks. I ran out of money and time. next week I'll be going for a ride.

I know it. I am a debate now tho. I bought an SRT that has a built motor. I think I am going to do a swap and stick my stock motor in the SRT... not sure the hard choices in life.

It is ready to go in to the car tho.... Well once I find an auto L body trans mount. I bought one but it is some oddball mount from an early year car. A buddy said he has one for me tho, so soon.
