Goal: 12 sec turbo van @ high altitude

We have run our two Caravans at our local track here in Colorado over the last few weeks. I will try to get videos and timeslips on here soon. Mine, with mitsu turbo FMIC and meth injection and drag radials ran a best of 15.24@ 86 mph, with a 2.08 60 ft. My buddies(boostincargo on the other site) ran his also, best run 13.69 @ 98 mph with a 1.99 60 ft. time. His is the same except a TU head, 50 turbo, 2 piece intake,+40's, and a good fuel system and E85 and 26x8.5x14 slicks on autodrags. only 15 psi now, only 98 MPH now, only 1.99 60 ft. and still has the balance shafts. for now, It had a AFR of 11.4-8 during the first runs on E85 so there is some room for improvement. It had power leather front seats out of a Grand Caravan and SRT 4 wheels on back. These will change. And this van was driven 200+ miles that first night to and from track. His will get into the 12's here pretty easy, I think as we were having some problems(cal/blow off), we went back to the stock comp/2 bar and the boost is at 20 psi now, it feels great, and that should pick it up alot. I think they both run good for this altitude.

Cool vans

Actually vans might be better at high altitude cuz there is less wind to push the tool-shed like aerodynamics thru

Thats what other people have said, do you really think it would matter? So a rampage would be great here, good I have one for a project full drag car! I hate to cut it up cuz it only has surface rust on bodt where the paint baked off.

Re: Goal: 12 sec turbo van @ high altitude

Have not weighed it yet, but with drag wheels I would guess 3050-3150 with a 175 pound driver? Just guessing off what my window van weighs with me in it.

Re: Goal: 12 sec turbo van @ high altitude

Thanx, gotta love the white Caravans, especially the cargo ones. We will get it sorted out, with the 1.80 60 ft. times, Im sure it will run well into the 12's.

Re: Goal: 12 sec turbo van @ high altitude

Good looks and good times!

I think the E85 may help at high altitude, do to its' lower A/F ratio. 12's are on the way!

I think your right, we love E85 up here, and you can buy it in alot of places. You should feel this van come out of the hole at about 17 psi!
