Is this chapter still active? I just picked up a GLH-S and would love to meet up with yall if so
You'll definitely want to contact 2.216VTurbo. Send him a PM and I'm sure he'll get back to you. He's the SoCal chapter president.
It is - I think we may be having a meet up next Thursday 8/6.
Sounds good! I just sent him a message to get some more info. Thank you very much for the information.
Sorry for the double post, but this seems like the best place to ask. Any mechanic recommendations in socal? I would prefer south OC if possible, but I can travel if needed.

SoCal SDAC,
Hello. I need some help. Has anybody heard from Scrampage1 (Ray in Central California)? He has gone AWOL. He had asked for my assistance with picking up a car in Sparks on the 8th, but haven't heard from him since the 3rd. I'm a lot concerned for his welfare because he has gone through so many health issues in the last 3 years. Please post or send a PM to me if anybody had heard from him. Thanks for your help.

That's his number. Goes straight to VM and he hasn't answered a text message since the 3rd. Thru 'net search, I was able to find a few people who are his relatives. I have reached out to them and am awaiting response. Thanks.

All,
I've located and heard back from Ray's brother. He's fine. His phone took a crap. Ray is doing okay. Thanks all for your help.

All,
I have some sad and tragic news to share. Our friend, Turbo Dodge Enthusiast, and longtime SDAC & Turbo Mopar member Ray Duque passed on Monday, Aug 19th while driving on SR-99 in California. He was involved in a solo vehicle rollover accident in his Ram 1500 while returning from an extended trip to visit family and friends. Ray had been involved with Turbo Dodges since he bought his '87 GLHS back in 1988. He was enthusiastically pursuing the restoration of his GLH-T, DC Rampage, and his beloved GLHS despite life these past few years taking a cruel turn on him that cost him his left leg below the knee, several fingers on his right hand, and several infections that put him in for long hospitalizations. He felt anything was possible and he liked his odds to someday, once again, handle the clutch pedal to drive his Turbo Dodges and feel the rush of that turbo unleashing. He and I were even talking about attending one of the SoCal SDAC meetings when we both had our cars ready for the road or possibly loading up a cargo trailer with parts and heading to the Midwest for an SDAC meet. He mentioned before that he missed seeing all you folks at the SoCal Meetings.
RIP Ray. I will miss you, my friend.

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
-- Alexis de Tocqueville
"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
