Description: 1991 Turbo Shadow built in or around 2000 by Tim Costello. Using basically a P-body frame, Tim purchased, traded and/ or dealt for all new component parts and designed the car to compliment the Carroll Shelby birthday car. For those browsing the forum, Chrysler did not make these cars and the car is NOT "real" Shelby, however, it's as clean and nice as any on the road. I'll have the car at the SDAC-27 show and at the Sunday, June 18, 2017 Eyes on Design show at the Edsel Ford Estate in Grosse Point, MI if anyone would like to see it.
The car runs great and boosts strong. Looks like a new car. It's been stored in a heated garage from October to Memorial Day each year since I've owed it (four years) and has never seen rain since I've owned it. Tim recently took some pics and if you have his contact info I'm sure he'll be happy to forward them. Let him know I'm fine with that.
Here are a few features:
- 2.5L intercooled turbo
- 20,xxx miles since the build (20,xxx on the clock)
- Full 1989 Shelby CSX trim package
- Turbos Unleashed turbo
- TIII radiator
- Recaros
- New convertible top - no leaks, zip out rear window
- Disc brakes, drilled/ slotted rotors, powder coated calipers, stainless lines
- Koni's
- Matching Fiberides in mint condition
- Polk Audio sound (stock head unit with Alpine amp)
- Shelby boost gage
- Tach signed by Carroll Shelby
- Custom Shelby rear seat
- Shelby floor mats (front and rear)
- Spotless inside, outside and underneath the car
- No rust
- No smoke, leaks or funny engine noise
- AC and heat works great along with everything else
I've likely failed to list a number of other items. Feel free to ask any questions. I'd really like it to go to someone that can appreciate the work that's went into the car but I have ample storage space and it certainly won't break my heart to keep her. With travel back and forth from Detroit to DC for work I thought it might be time to let someone else enjoy the car,
