It does in fact have the 16valve motor, also I remember it have electronically adjustable shock absorbers (different selectable settings from inside the car) and I believe it has both front seat belts on a track. Tim may have some pics laying around. I dont think any current photos will be taken by him any time soon.
that car looks so good it blue. I really wish they would have made it

Ah yes, memories. The 11 second GLH I used to own was sold during a dicorce about 10+ years ago. The Hooters car had its heart and soul put into the silver bullet. The 1 of 84 HO powered 84 Horizons (1 of 1 with no AC and radio delete) is nearing 300,000 miles, on its 4th motor and 13th transmission! The silver nitrous fed high 12 second 99 Miata that I had at one of the SDAC cars show was traded evens up for a 05 Mustang. The tang was sold and we bought a 01 Voyager that I used to win one of the turtle races with. That van was just traded in Saturday foe a....gulp....PRIUS! Maybe I'll bring that out for a turtle race!

We have a 92 Iroc R/T at the shop right now that is rumoured to be The car Teemu Selanne drove when he came to Winnipeg to play for the Jets. (rookie year)
Any advise on how to verify something like this? We've contacted the dealership that it came from and they are aware of the car and confirm that Selanne was given one for a 1 year lease, but due to "privacy act" they can't release any info
I am only aware of two white Iroc R/T's that were in Manitoba in 92. One was given to Teemu and I believe the other was given to Scott Arniel. One of these cars was wrecked (Chrysler buy back warranty) due to head being replaced X times

What about the Consulier gtp. It was built by Mosler and had the T2 and weighed around 2100lbs. If I ever strike it rich Iam going to find 1 of those cars. I know its not a Shelby but still a hot car.
Those are sweet! and considered "Shelby" cars

Actually they aren't hard to find at the moment. Mosler opened his vault and has a number of them for sale right now!

What was the secret to that one? Tons of boost and race gas? Weight reduction, or a combination of the two?

1999 and it was always driven to the track, was my daily driver actually.

Thanks Gary.
No problem. Feel free to ask any questions.
The car really was nothing more than careful attention to detail to maximize what was there. It was driven every day and had 162,000 miles on it when it was retired. The engine still had less than 5% leakdown when it was pulled and resides under my workbench waiting for another project.

Do you think you did anything special to get that kind of longevity and performance out of the car?
Longevity? Well I didn't rattle it and the oil was changed once or twice a year if it needed it or not.
The performance was just a matter of honing it till there was no more left to give. A lot of guys throw together a car and ignore this step. I would go to the track and try advancing/retarding distributor and cam timing till I got the best MPH. Same for fuel pressure. Tweak the suspension and slicks till I could get the best short time possible. I even spent time at the track just watching other cars to see what they were doing to launch and try and adapt that to my use.

That's pretty awesome. We're fortunate that we have such stout motors in these cars.
