Thanks guys! It's was a awesome week to say the least. I just got home an hour and a half ago, and I'm beat after the 14hour drive. I post some details tomorrow.

I gotta say Adam on a personal note after seeing you around TM.com for years and spending too much $$ on your machined works of art, seeing you in person surprised me. I had to ask a couple different people to verify that it was you In my mind you were a crusty old machinist dude with lotsa tats from the 60's and a grey moustache turned yellow by a 4 pack a day smoking history You're just a kid (maybe an old guy with a baby face?) whos surprisingly humble and interesting to talk to, nice work out there at SDAC Now about that exhibition race against that black car...

I'll pile on the congratulations. Your work and careful thought is really paying off.

And both the Q8 finalists (Adam and Larry) drove their 10 second cars to and from the event, several hundred miles each way!

Congrats on the Q8 win Adam! It was great to see your car (as well as all the others') kicking a$$ at SDAC.

Congrats Adam! Really glad you brought the title back to the east coast lol. So sorry I wasn't able to drive out and race with you as we originally planned but, I'm looking forward to getting them to the track together here soon! Keep up the amazing work!

Re: lengel's TIII Omni GLH progress (used to be spirit r/t)

Thanks guys! This was the first SDAC I participated in, and it was such a blast. The car made the 800mile/14hour drive out with no major problems. Put the car in the show Sunday in the modified L body class, and it got 1st for that class. After the show I offered to take Carroll for a ride and about a mile from the hotel the weld that held my trigger wheel to the pulley broke, luckily Mike Wah and Brian Slowe came to the rescue and towed me back to the hotel. Jackson came through big time for me by welding it back together the next day so I could make the drags. He even had Carroll powder coat it for me! Tuesday we made it to the drags qualified #1 with a 10.76@ 138( I think), raced Terry's charger first round. He went a 11.4 to my 10.8. 2nd round I paired with JT. He went 11.2x to my 10.69@138 and a new PB. For the the final round it was me and Larry's RWD shadow. He went 11.7 to my 10.8. He was running low 11s all day but missed a shift on that final run. I was blown away that I won, but I know there were a lot of faster cars then mine that didn't show up or were having problems, so I was cool to win but the new PB was the best part of the day for me. Got up Wednesday and we were on the road by 4am first gas stop, went to pull back out and bang the clutch cable broke. luckily I was following Pat and him being the experienced TMer that he is had a extra cable. We replaced the cable and we made the rest of the trip with no problems. Arrived at home at 730 pm Wednesday. 1650 mile round trip! I am so glad I decided to go, but I don't think I will ever drive the car that far again. I see a tow rig in my future. Lol The best part of the trip was meeting everybody, putting name with faces and helping each other out! I feel so appreciative to be a part of such a cool group of guys that will just help each other out. If weren't for this I would have never made it home. Thanks Guys!

I too was happy to meet Adam in person. It's funny how everyone has an idea of what they think he should look like. All of the old guys think he should be older, I thought he would be taller.
