    Rebuild Kits.. Preferences?

After trying to find a good rebuild kit, I have a question. Which one? These are ebay's but I want to verify QUALITY kits!! One specifies it's USA made and I'm not sure about the others. Anybody have a preference from prior experience? I don't want to do this again in 20,000 miles.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GARRE...spagenameZWDVW (USA made parts)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COMPL...spagenameZWDVW (unknown parts, but I have seen this name before in here[G-pop shop])

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo...spagenameZWDVW (unknown made parts- partial kit)

Other recommendations for good kits elsewhere...?

    Re: Rebuild Kits.. Preferences?

I had a turbo someone rebuilt but didn't balance.

    It didn't last that long.

I don't know how the average joe at home could balance one without the proper tools, and since they spin at such high speeds, balancing seems pretty important.

Not really helpful in answering your question, but at least a consideration.

In light of that info, maybe I should get the one made in the USA. He says he'll balance the shaft and all that jazz when you ship him the shaft... Does this sound "fishy"?

The first sounds like a good deal,I once rebuilt a turbo(my first turbo engine). The kit cost 100 bucks and it was for the 86 T-1,the turbo worked great for 100 miles or so then started smoking real bad where I didnt have it balaced so The guy will balance it and you wont have that much more it it go with that one.also when you tear it down use a small drill bit in your fingers and make sure all the cooked oil is out of the pressure passages. Its not that hard to do.
