    Tried out new Trans Brake

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tried out my new valve body from Chad aka Torqueflite in the Rampage yesterday It worked flawlessly. My car has never had a nicer 2-3 shift ever! I ran a 10.73@130 1.70 60ft best time of the day. Another 130 mph pass. Then tried launching it on the trans brake about 5k rpm and blew away the slicks. I was sliding towards the tree and my car starting missing so I cruised down the track and all the way to the pits only to find a big hole where parts had exited from Cylinder #4.......very happy with the transmissions' performance.
I'm sure with a 2 step rev controller and a little trial an error this will net the best et's in our cars.

Yeah i had another bad day, broke the casing that broke the pinion gear and broke pretty much all the teeth of the ring gear. back to step 1.

but looking at Deans car going down the track in 10s keeps me motivated that I will get this auto tranny working great on my VW drag car.

from what I can see the rod either broke or the threads pulled out from it and the rod bolt.... I've been to busy to pull the pan.

Out of curiosity how high do you spin your engine now Dean? I would imagine if teh slicks let go you were resting near the limiter for that period of time?

With this combo its just approaching 7000 rpm by the end of the track. I was over 6 k when it starting missing...aluminum rods don't make much noise when they are smashin around I guess...going to make a hell of a mantle show piece though! Limiter is 7500.

Just gives you a chance to upgrade I guess! I bet that trans brake lets you come out hard... do you use a two step limiter in conjunction to build boost while on the brake?
