    Enginge refresh

Assuming everything looks ok when I pull the motor apart, like pistons, rods, crank, head, what kind of parts should I replace and will I need any kind of machine work done before I put it back together?

Thats all hard to say. You should carefully pull it apart, inspecting as you go along. If the bearings look good then its a good sign the rods and crank are fine. You should strip the block and have a machine shop that you trust check the wear, if ok, have them hone it and deck it.
Get new intermediate shaft bearings installed, get some ARP rod bolts and have the rods redone with new bushings, new rings, bearings and an oil pump. Have the head freshened up. Use ARP head studs-don't have to but there reusable and a Mopar 005 gasket.
