    spark plug help !!!

so i got an oil change about 3 weeks ago, and my oil was full ...

i also did spark plugs on it (ngk v powers), gapping was set at .035 ...

the other day i noticed my car started smoking a lil bit, so i check my dip stick. i lost some oil and im about down to 3/4 on the full mark.

i pulled my spark plugs to check them and they were super black !!!
    (on the threading)

any1 have any idea on whats wrong, or what i should do ?!?!?!

    please help !!!

    thanks,
    - Dave

    Re: spark plug help !!!

Black plugs and oil consumption could indicate that oil is being burned by the engine (that explains the smoke also). Possible causes are leaking valve guides/seals, piston rings, or a bad seal in the turbo. Pull off the hose to the throttle body from the intercooler and look to see if there is oil inside it, lots of oil in there means it's coming from either the turbo or the PCV system.
