WTB-cheap 58mm TB

I'm almost positive I will be going to the jy again on wednesday or sunday morning I can look for one if you want......

Interesting. Every 3.8 caravan on that list, in the junkyard the other day had 52mm TBs.

After doing a little bit of research, these are the vehicles I found that have the 3.8L (v6)engine in them !!!

1994 - Grand Caravan ES, Grand Caravan LE
1995 - Grand Caravan ES, Grand Caravan LE
1996 - Grand Caravan ES, Grand Caravan LE, Caravan ES, Caravan LE
1997 - Grand Caravan ES, Grand Caravan LE, Grand Caravan SE, Caravan ES, Caravan LE
1998 - Grand Caravan, Caravan
1999 - Grand Caravan, Caravan
2000 - Grand Caravan
2001 - Grand Caravan ES, Grand Caravan SPORT
2002 - Grand Caravan
2003 - Grand Caravan SPORT
2004 - Grand Caravan
2005 - Grand Caravan

i might be missing a few of them ?!?!?! (not 100% sure)

i also don't know which of them came with the 58mm TB. Hopefully someone can continue where I left off !!!

I figured I would just grab a 52 and walk around with it and size it up with any 3.8 tb I saw, heh heh

what was what I did. But I used the throttle body gasket to match up.

I was looking for another 58mm tb, since I've lost mine.

if u read the rest of it u would realize that those are the vehicles with 3.8L v6 engine in them ...

If it's a '98+ long wheel base T&C, yes.
If it's a '98+ 3.8l long wheel base minivan with the towing package, yes.

Not sure about '98+ 3.8l non lwb, but with towing package.

This also explains why my friend's Van has a 5.8mm throttle body.

I'm sure you mean 58mm, not 5.8mm ..........

and yes, my 2000 lwb Dodge Grand Caravan does have the 58mm TB. I will also vouch that none of the 3.8 vans we saw the other day had the 58, all had the 52mm.

This probably isn't too useful, and since the van was touching the garage door I couldn't get in and do much, but the diameter of the outside of the TB inlet hose is 71mm across approximately.Pretty thin hose. I'll try to get in there when I get a chance.

This is a 99 Caravan Sport, short wheel base.

Hmm I fequent the local yards weekly and now im going to have to look for one or more of these.

Would this be a good TB to use temp with a stock turbo

No, its way to big for a stock motor.

Well I Went to the yards today. I found some 3.8's but they looked to be 52mm TB's Im going to a few others monday and see if I can find some....
