    Neither.
Use the vaccum port on top of the throttle body.

    Re: bov question

Use a vac line off the intake manifold. I found that the vac ports on my tb were clogged and didn't get any vac. That is what I run and it runs fine with my greddy.

    Re: bov question

I've always ran off the manifold. I tried a couple of BOVs and different cars off the TB and it never worked right.

well i hooked it up to the vac block i have and i get either 5lbs of boost and then a whoosh sound from the bov or i get overboost cut out and the engine shuts down. then after she runs perfect. untill i hit wide open throttle. i also have turned down the grainger valve a bit and still the same thing. any ideas?

    Re: bov question

on my DSM it's t'd off a manifold vac line, no issues... on my Omni it's on the throttle body, no issues. same 1G DSM BOV as well.

    Re: bov question

If you look at the factory setups, they hooked it to the small TB nipple in 88, but then moved it to the manifold in 89.

Okay so you're saying after you start it up, warm it, jump on it, it will overboost? Then after if you nail it it will not overboost?

What are you using for boost control? A bov won't fix that.

    Re: bov question

Did you take out the restrictor? Hook the wastegaste to manifold vacuum and see what happens.

    Re: bov question

You hooked the wastegate to manifold vacuum with no restrictor or anything? if so, you have a wastegate can issue. Its got weak with age.
