    Mystery 2.2 crank

Doing some garage cleaning/purging today and came accross a wrapped up crank. Clearly it's forged but it doesn't have the normal wide parting lines. And why is it knife edged? It doesn't look like it was machined but rather formed/forged that way. Looks to be small snout/CB and of course 8 bolt crank. Any speculations?
