So I tried fixing this thing to no avail. Cheap 37 year old plastic don't last over the years.

What has anyone done to just make it a manual door?

This is the main blend door.

I tried a heavy long zip tie through the door, through the lower stereo/ but it's too flexible.

I've read of someone using an ol steel wire hanger and it being stiff enough.

I'm not taking the dash out a 4th time. And there's zero for spare parts/ parts cars round here.
