Sorry to hear about the piston. That's a kick in the pants to say the least. A failing injector is no fun.
Sick build, excellent craftsmanship!
One of the main body mods I wanted to do to the van was remove the rear bumper and have a roll pan made. Well last week I did just that.
I dropped the van off at a local shop that does custom sheet metal work and they worked their magic. Its currently at a friends shop getting body worked and in primer.
I love the way it turned out and cant wait to see it all one color eventually!!

That looks very nice. I'm not sure I would ever be able to do complex curves like that.
Look great!

Added a Precision Performance Products shifter with an air solenoid. The plan is to use my CO2 to shift and add some torque management in to speed up shifts and keep the trans happy since it wont be shifting up full power.

Well the last time I raced the Van at the track was last Years SDAC. I did drive it around and had a few street encounters but I broke an axle and forgot to put trans fluid back in after swapping the axle so trans started to slip when under a load.
Head gasket was seeping some so I pulled the motor and had O rings put in the block. I suspect the converter is too tight and thats the cause of the head gasket issue. Its dropping about 1500 rpm on the shift which is way too much so its getting a restall.
Got the rollerized Aux shaft cover installed as well while the motor is out.
Im hoping to have the motor and trans back in and it running in the next few weeks.

just in time for Boost Weather !!
Shipping the converter out to get it loosened up. Flashes at 4600 on the hit but it rolls over really hard, also dropping 1500 rpm on the shift but Id like it closer to 6-800rpm.
If we can loosen it up enough it should pick up a few tenths.

It's neat that torque converters are a thing. I've owned very few automatic cars in my life and none of them have ever had anything other than the stock converter in them. Maybe some day.
