After a little more searching, I think this is the part number you’re looking for. Raybestos DPS85423

    They’re out there for sure.

ETA: When is searched my email using the part number, it came up at around the time I replaced the calipers in my CSX. That part number should definitely work.

that "plastic" is similar to the plastic insulator found on the carb 2.2 starters' solenoids

when exposed to prolonged and extremely hot temperatures it changes form
instead of being the plastic it originally was.. it becomes chalk-like .. such that you can scrape away material with your thumbnail until there's nothing left

so you never wanna wear the brake pads all the way to the backing plates with plastic pistons

    Circle track racing..

I would say just buy some remaned calipers for an LH car and choose the steel piston option but Cardone has gotten really bad about reusing those as of recent.

Even that raybestos part number looks to be on its way out.

. The car is used for endurance racing. Heat build up is a real issue. At Road Atlanta we are doing 108 to 110 to 35 MPH braking while going down hill. As previously stated the plastic pistons don’t like lots of heat.

. I’d like to avoid buying calipers that don’t fit my application just for the pistons. Hope it never comes to that.

What front brake package are you using ? I mention the LH calipers because they are a drop on replacement for the 91 and newer front brakes with the separate bolt on caliper bracket.
