    Voyager manual trans console removal

The console in our minivan is pristine, and I would like to keep it that way. I see no screws from the top, side, or bottom of the vehicle. I presume I’ll have to pull up on one and and slide the cover toward one end of the vehicle, but I don’t want to just start yanking on stuff. It seems solidly on there.

    What gives?

just so happens I have a van shifter boot in the china cabinet full-ah parts behind me as I type
unlike the car boots that screw to the console from the underside the van boot simply clips down to the edges of the opening
mine's got one clip broken off
clips are closer together/further apart ,depending which end you're lookin' at

Idono off hand which end is front or back.
likely you have to pull the boot off then you'll find the screws for the shifter console

    to add
I think the bottom of the van boot is larger than the opening in a car console.. so if someone's done mods to the shifter installation .. it may be usefull to have one ..if for some reason your o-e car stuff won't work with your mods

    lol
until you install the J body convertible center spine reinforcement.. the j body convertible console & carpet , in a charcoal grey 87 shelby z with t tops and digital ..everythin' including the a/c .. and the van boot..do you realize just how badly those cars need that done...

    it "corrects"the daytona armrest..cough

a little masking tape to prevent scratches and a small putty spatula to push, in-under the edge of the boot, with, might get you there

just remember the clips have to be pushed in from the sides ..not front n back

Jay pointed out the 5 speed vans with the 520/555 style trans also got unique bobble mount brackets and a dog bone like the L body cars had

    I found mine in an 87 K car with a 520..so , "them too"
