SBEC 5V power supply linear regulators

I found a few super low drop out (LDO) for SBEC 5V power supply linear regulators. Once I verify functionality, I will share part numbers. Next, I need to figure out the 5V regulator used in the SMEC, The good news is the 5V linear supplies in the SMEC and SBEC seem to be very solid. So far I have not found a faulty one. The 8 V DC-DC supply on the SBEC is known to burn up, I have several that have burnt through the PCB.

I think I just had the 8v supply for the HEP fail on the LM for the Daytona. I really need to dig into this with my father more.

Let me know, if you need info. Check the two caps on the Power board. I do find the 8V cap needs replacing

Will do. I think the power module is fine, as the new lm is working well. Or, are you suggesting that the caps on the PM might be killing my LMs?

Brian, bring your Power board to SDAC and I will check the caps for you. No charge. If the cap are bad, I will have spare caps with me.
