    17x8 rpf1 wheels

Does anyone know how well a 17x8 5x100 rpf1 wheel with the 35mm spacing fits on either Shadows or Lancers? I’m thinking about getting new wheels to open up size wanted to check if anyone has fitment info. I would really prefer 8 inch wheels, but I know that’s probably pushing it in the rear at lest.

Dunno exactly for those wheels, but I can tell you that I put on 17x7 5x100 40mm offset on my Lancer. They look great in my opinion, but I did have to slap on some 5mm spacers up front to achieve about .7° of neg camber.

Thanks for that info. I might have to do some measuring on both body styles to see what will really fit.

Hope my experience helps! Let me know if you find a way to work an 8" rim in there. Seemed pretty tight in there on my H-body.

Out of curiosity, how wide of a tire are you wanting to run? An 8" rim is ideal for 225-235mm.

225, but perhaps a 245 depending on tire availability.

Thanks Mike. Does that take into. Account wheel width at all?

Not a Shadow or a Lancer but I do have this to offer. 17x8 +35 I believe. I'll have to double check width next time I have them off.

It does not appear to, but wheel width should not effect section width of the tire very much (within the acceptable rim size for a given tire)

Sweet. How much negative camber can you get? What size tire? Is there any room in the back, or do they rub over bumps and the like?

You’re probably right. I’ve always wondered hat if any effect it had. Thanks again, Mike.

Cordes, the ones I have are a 35+ and they fit an L body so assuming you'll have plenty of room to work with on any other car.

Thanks Jon. I still have quite a bit of work to do before I’m too worried about the cars which will take these, but it shouldn’t be that long I hope!

clears in the front with et33 8" wide wheel on a shadow, about flush with the fender might be out like a mm or so et35-36 might work depending on the setup with the strut, for the rear there's tons of room you can definitely fit a 8" wheel back there probably alot more

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. It has BC coilovers on it and 215/45R17s. I haven't really attempted to get it any lower and/or stuffed. It used to rub with 225/45R17s, and i believe they rub slightly in the front now at full lock(havent driven it a whole lot tbh). I also have an adjustable track bar I need to install to get the rear axle centered. Going to work on that soon. (Maybe tomorrow). I'll get better pictures for you when I get to that project.
