Hello All,
I just finished assembling and testing my SMEC to SBEC adapter so I can test SMEC in my SBEC based 87 CSX.

Very cool. Did you use anther sbec board to create an intermediate connection?
Very cool. I really appreciate the content you post. There has been a lot of good stuff lately.
Thank you Brian
a few items I am working on
1)SBEC schematic with component identification. From a repair prospective...nearly complete. Just need to write a wee bit of documentation.
2)the above but SMEC--50% of the input/output circuits on the logic board are analyzed. I do need a defective power board, which I may have.
3)the above but SBEC2 this is way more complex as there are at least three different SBEC2 used for turbo applications.
4)Use V6 SBEC and/or SBEC2 for turbo applications. We have a working example but need road testing logging etc.
Maybe list
A) replace processor on SBEC2 and use a modern processor. For example, perhaps use a Teensy 4.X on a small daughter board and then use Speeduino as the base. The challenge here is the 3.3V digital limit on old 5V hardware. This will likely be just for fun
I would like to find a few more people to help on the electronics side, but the pay sucks (volunteer including me).LOL
Thanks goes to those who helped in 2021.

Miles

cool. nice adapter.
teenySBEC would be pretty cool though you still have the 30 year old wiring.
