Is there any way to change the 5th gear ratio on a 555 to make it more road race friendly? Not having so much of an RPM drop would be a big help

You can use any 5th gear, but I think there is little variation in them. I’ve thought about having a custom 5th gear made, but even the thought of it is so expensive it causes my wallet to run, yelping, into the other room.
All our transaxles have a .71 or .72 fifth gear ratio.
The 555 has a 4th gear ratio of .94, most others are 1.04
The only one with less drop is the 1992 523 with a .97 fourth gear.
It's easily recognized by its 3.77 final drive ratio listed on the round tag.
However, its a wide ratio in the lower gears with a 3.31 first gear.
The 555 has as 3.00 first gear making it a close ratio.
Thanks
