S-60 "roller" grind soon to be available from Comp Cams?

Is it the just picture/lighting or is the grain in the steel that large? If so then horrible heat treatment - too high of temp or held too long for the alloy.

Well... might be a roller cam profile on a slider blank. The end result is it won't last, they had about a 99% failure rate. I'd send it back. ZDDP won't save a design flaw. Think about where all that debris from camshaft letting go is going in your engine. Hopefully the filter will catch the REALLY big pieces. This is what it may look like after 8K miles. This was TAFT S2+ roller profile made on a slider blank.

Ran my Comp Cams "super 60" grind for 10years without an issue , granted this was 20 years ago but worked good for me
