When the SRT4 came out in 03 I think...It was listed by DCX as "The fastest car for under $20,000" MSRP $19,995
STEALERSHIPS had them at 23-25k for that 1st year model.
And one sales idiot had the gaul to tell me "We look at the SRT4 in the same class as the Vipers..therefore no test drives"
Me sitting there with 5k cash in my pocket and was going to bring the rest of the cash down that night for pickup.
I told the guy No test drive, no sale. Walking away he said under his breath about kids and no money. I was 31 at the time.
Two weeks later, I had a meeting with the owner of the Dodge dealer. After about 20 minutes, the sales idiot was called in. I listened for the next 10 minutes as he was yelled at and promptly fired....Something about me having an order paid in full in my hand for a $43,000 ram 3500 truck and WTF was he thinking not letting me drive/buy the SRT4.
Anywho, I digress...$20k for 2003 model year in US dollars.
