    Bad H body Parasitic Draw

I'm drawing about .2 amps with everything off. When I pull fuse 17, it drops down to around 7mA. Fuse 17 is obviously the problem. I checked the diagrams and saw that there is quite a bit coming off of that fuse. I could easily live without all of it except the odometer.

I've already checked the radio, the navigator, and the time delay fuse. While the time delay fuse sometimes keeps the headlights on, etc. It usually doesn't work so I was surprised that it wasn't the cause.

At this point, I'm going to check the glove box light next, and from there I guess the instrument panel? I know the instrument panels were not the best on these, but does anyone know if they're known for things like this? I've never had anything this hard to track down before.

If anyone would like me to post the diagram, I would be more than happy to.

    post the diagram.

ive had horn relays stick on, ostriches and boost controllers creating too much draw etc.

I'll scan it up tomorrow and do it right by showing the 5 or so other sheets it goes to. Good times...

Yeah, The glove box light has got me a few times. Tough to see when the door is closed (lol). I just pull the glove box lamp as I don't need it more than I need my battery to stay charged.

Well, I should have known last night that the flaky glovebox switch would be the culprit. I can't believe it actually made the light switch on and off at all given the shape of the switch. I'm down to 10.1mA with the bulb removed from the switch. That's certainly good enough for me. Now to change the clutch and really get some tuning done before cranking up the boost.

glad you found it. im at 8ma typically with my reliant with nothing extra connected. it goes up a bit with my electronic boost controller connected so when the car sits in the winter, i disconnect it.
