    87 Shelby Daytona Z

Does the 87 Z have the thick front sway bar and the good bushings in the rear axle?

It should but keep in mind the age of stuff we are working on now. Unless you are the original owner then assume nothing is original until verified. Less likely the rear axle bushings have ever been touched (mine are still original with almost 400,000 miles on them) but sway bars can be moved around rather easily for any number of reasons.

Agreed. Few of my cars have the original sway bar on them. Heck, I pulled/scrapped enough of the largest bars back when, that I forget what cars they come out of for the most part. I thought they started in 89, but I could be wrong.

    yes
big front swaybar started with the 86 CS daytona and carried through with 87-8 shelby z and the 89-90-91 daytona shelbys

I believe 87 shelby z was the only year to receive the good rear axle piviot bushings

there are a few changes with the rear axle and the latest version does not fit the earlier cars as it will put the wheels in the wrong spot when swapped in
I'm not sure which year that change happened but either the pivot mount or the axle length from pivot to wheel center changed , or both

a former site user on TD , "knightmoves" posted about it with pics in his build thread over there , years ago

87 and 88 both have the solid rear axle bushings or should from the factory. The ShelbyZ is the only body I know of to get them. The Shadows did not. I'm not 100% on the Lebarons though you could option them with the larger sway bar even with an Auto and they dropped the large sway bar 5psd kmember on them to do so

All sway bars from 84-90 are the same shape. 91+ use a different shape sway bar.

I was unable to find the thread you mentioned. Found the person and a few posts. My search skills are not great.
