    Disc brake prop valve

I'm converting the rear drum brakes to rear disc. ,On one of my Daytonas, and I'm assuming the proportioning valve is different for the rear disc brake set-up, (or are they the same)? the car is a 91 Daytona ES 3.0L
Does anyone have a prop valve for sale? Please pm me........Warren

Depending on the year, brake size, and tire choice, the drum prop valve might be a better choice. Do you know which prop valve you have in there now?

All I know is that it is the original valve for a 91 Daytona ES with rear drums and a 3.0L engine. Are there numbers on them to identify them?

There is a plastic tag where the switch for the brake light is located. They're color coded.

There used to be a good reference for the characteristics of each of the valves out there. Some tag colors were re-used over time in later cars, but act differently than the earlier tagged version (I think white is one of these).

FWIW I personally have had the best luck using the "yellow" tagged valve from a disc/drum car with the 11" brake system.

If you are going to lightweight drag racing brakes, I wouldn't bother with a stock valve and just go straight to a Willwood adjustable unit.
