    Dumb A/C Condenser Question

This is what happens when you take something apart and go to put it back together about ten years later. I want to put a new A/C condenser in the '85 K-car, then the radiator. The condenser has two rubber nubs on the bottom that fit into two holes down below, similar to the radiator. But what holds the upper part of the condenser to the radiator support? There is a rubber bushing with a metal sleeve on each side (see pic) and these line up with matching holes in the body's radiator support. But what attaches the bushing to the holes? There must be some kind of spacer as the condenser tilts forward if the bushings touch the holes. I have the whole three volume '85 service manual and can't find any illustration of this.

    Thanks!

    Re: Dumb A/C Condenser Question

Great resource! It looks like it's held in place by screws and U-nuts. They'd be 1/4x20 or 6mm from the size of the hole in the bushing. (Don't you just love the way our cars mix metric and customary?). Being a body bolt I'm guessing 1/4x20. The radiator support has square holes next to the round bolt holes for the U-nuts to slip in. Now I just have to figure out where I stored the parts!

    Edit: They're apparently 6mm.
