Betty Lou has a new pair of shoes...

Survivor silver GLHT got some new wheels and tires. Couple teaser pics for you guys. Wheels look familiar? Jay, I already know you hate them (lol). Looks so 80's right? Hehe

Wow. Those are super clean. You don't see the Fittipaldi wheels very often at all. Thanks for sharing Todd.

Todd, what were they from? Or just vintage aftermarket?
They look similar to some on the Consulier.

And, I think they look good on there!
    Are they Left/Right specific?

Thanks Wayne, Yes they are right and left specific. The were called the Fittipaldi Aero. Made by OZ. That center cap is one chunk of aluminum over 1/4" thick, compared the the Lemans flimsy wheel covers on the 88 CSX-T. Very well made wheel. Look what wheels the prototype GLHS has on in the background of attachment. Clearly the Centurian I wheel was derived from this wheel. Been sitting in my basement for too long, so I thought I'd put them to use.
I bought these from a guy that had them on a Toyota Celica All-Trac. Remember them? AWD turbo 4 cylinder and air to water intercooled Celica from the late 80's. IMO, a car ahead of it's time. I'm happy the guy took care of these wheels, they look pretty good for a 35 year old wheel.

    That's really cool!
They probably couldn't get enough of a discount to use these wheels on the "production" versions, so they just made something close.

    What width are they 7"?

And I believe I do remember seeing that AWD Celica being road tested on an episode of Motorweek.

And yes, the wheels did keep very well. They look new to me!
In your 2 pics, only one wheel says Fittipaldi?

These are 15x6", it does however have the correct offset and center or hub bore diameter of 57.1mm. Wish these were 7", but on a plus note, they come in about 3 lbs lighter than the pizza wheel they're replacing. These also came in 15X7" but I think offset, hub bore, and wheel pattern where incorrect for our applications. They also had 4 lug applications as well.
You weren't supposed to notice the logo missing from the one wheel (lol). I had to get two if them refinished about 15 years ago as they had slight pot hole damage to lips, and the logo ended up getting too shallow to look right. Going to get some some vinyl decals to replace the missing logos on the two wheels. I'm afraid it would be pretty expensive to have someone CNC the logo in. Maybe if they were the last set on earth, but decals will have to work for the time being.
