    Walbro 450-525L pumps

Anybody attempted to install one of these pumps inside the tank?

    Looking for ideas.

    Thank you.

I have done this in my 92 Daytona, but there are some drawbacks, what car are you trying to install this in?

This would be going in an L-body.

I am trying to find a fuel solution. I am at the limit of the 340LPH I have in there now, and am having starvation issues at less than 1/2 tank with hard acceleration and deceleration. Probably cornering too I pushed it it hard.

I have been exploring other options too such as:

Adding an external surge tank like this.

A tank conversion kit such as these from Aeromotive and Holley,
    https://aeromotiveinc.com/product/phantom-flex/

    https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...e/parts/12-132

All of these have their pros and cons. I'd like to avoid a fuel cell and external pump. I like the idea of a submerged pump for cooling.

I am running into similar issues with my car, but I think that is due to my modified fuel canister, In my experience, none of these cars have a well designed sump that will hold fuel when the tanks is low. The canister design of the newer pump assemblies really helps with this as it creates a sumo, but nothing larger than the Walbro 255 is designed to work in those. Do you have any pictures of your fuel pump assembly?
I have a few ideas that I am looking to try on my own car that may help. I would also share my current project privately with you.

I have no pictures of it. I am using an Airtex hanger/sender assembly. I had to make some modifications to get the 340L in. I should have taken pictures of it when I did it.

My thinking was to take the whole tank out again, figure out a way to hang a 450 or 525 pump and Hydramat pickup. But the more think about it, it would seem impossible to get everything oriented correctly.

I would be happy to take a look at what you're working on. Thank you.
