86 Aries TBI to TII questions...

    Howdy all!
I知 relatively new to this forum, but I recognize a lot of user names from the other forum.
I am in the process of building an 86 Aries wagon. I知 swapping the dash, and harness from an 86 Laser turbo. Both have the 50 pin firewall bulkhead. I have an 88 TII Omni harness (also 50 pin) from a running car. What are the differences between the 86 Laser bulkhead and the 88 Omni bulkhead? Do I have to move any wires around? I知 also wanting to keep the Traveler computer, what wires need to be added to the Omni engine harness to make this function?

    Thanks!
    Andrew

I can post both of them here for you. I will have to get them and save them as a .jpg for you.

Ok, first 4 are the 1986 G body, second 4 are the 1988 L body. If they aren't clear enough, I may have a 1988 FSM set or partial set, I do have the 1986 FSM set.

Good luck with it I have a G body traveler if you need it, it won't work with an SBEC.

Thanks! I have one that came out of the doner car. So which images are the dash side harness and which is the Engine side?

The ones with the snaps are dash side, the ones with the post for the bolt are engine side.

I had to separate them and reduce the image as far as possible, hence the picture then the list. If I could have just simply posted them as one image for each half it would have been easier. Right now I am in the middle of bringing my 1986 Lebaron convertible up to what I want replacing my totaled 1985. Thread is here: http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...ble&highlight=

Re: 86 Aries TBI to TII questions...

I printed the images out last night and compared the two. Wire for wire they match up! I知 going to have to add a few wires to the engine harness for cruise control and the traveler. Pin 44 is for fuel flow signal, I知 assuming for the MPG feature. Is there any added sensors anywhere for this, or does the SMEC just compute it?

That looks like a nice project! I love the convertible K cars. I知 considering looking for a LeBaron quad headlight nose and turbo hood to swap on my wagon.

The computer just computes the mpgs. There's not a sensor.
