If you are handy with a soldering iron it is possible to burn a chip to exactly what you want.

Can you point me in the right direction to the knowledge database for the computer numbers? I swear, nothing is freekin easy! I found on my old SMEC the number "5235105". On Rockauto, the Cardone brand SMEC which is supposed to replace OE number "5235105" is "A1 79-5105". I just attempted to install that new SMEC, and on the larger harness connector, there are two tabs. They don't align correctly on this computer. So now what do I do?! Obviously I need to send this one back to Rock Auto, but I have no clue what to order now.....
