    Egt

    Im thinking of geting a installing a EGT Gauge over the winter I will probaby get a Auto meter (ATM-3343) or something close to that.Im wondering were the best place to put the probe at,and if it can be drilled and tapped on the car by using grease in the tap,thanks for all.

    #3 is the best with the next best being #4. If you want to do it in the car your best bet is #4. You maybe to do #3 if you do it at an angle in addition to removing the starter. The higher and higher you go in boost, typically the closer #3 and #4 get.

    Since it is a pita with the standard setup of cars, just go with #4.

    So drill in from the drivers side over the trans in #4 right...

    Yep. About 1" from the flange.
