Well all the boost button stuff is gone so I'm stuck.
Cant remember how to setup the fourplay in MPTune.
Anyone have a how to on this somewhere?

Boost button Wiki pages aren't gone forever.
There are plans to restore and house the information elsewhere. That is in process at the moment.
Wowzer, and chromguy are involved with this, as possibly some folks from here. I can't remember what was decided if was going to be in the knowledge center. I think it needed to be hosted elsewhere.
If you can be patient it should be worthwhile.

basically, compile the cals you want to use so a .bin file is created. then in mptune go to the miscellaneous menu and select the binstacker program. this allows you to stack multiple bins into 1 bin file that can then be burned to the 4 play chip.

Is there a way to unstack? I have to do some reverse engineering due to losing the originals on my old computer
can't remember if the 4play chips are 32k or 64k. i think you can use mpbinstacker to read the chip to a file. then you would need to split that file into either 2 or 4 separate bins. i don't recall exactly how to do that with the program. once you get the complete 4play chip read to a file i can probably help you get them separated.

The fourplay chips are 1M (128k x 8) they use a 39SF010 or28C010 chip

wow, that's a surprise. i always thought they were 64k. now i wonder if the bin stacker will even work with that...........
at one time rob L had talked about a "flashable" fourplay. i wonder if this is it? if so, you would just flash it like a normal flashable chip. the original 4 play only used a 64k chip and required the entire 64k to be in one big bin file that was burned to the chip using a burn2 for example.
hmm...

Yes this is the flashable fourplay.
Here is the no flashable and it has solder jumpers for SMEC and LM.

does someone make the flashable LM fourplay?
There are a number of folks who will assemble boards in the midwest if you rather not do it yourself. If you need names, send me a PM

I could do it myself for sure. Did someone make a flashable four play for the lm? I cant find it. Only see smec.
I'm glad to see this topic come back around
from what I remember reading and correct me if wrong -please
but I thought the 4 play was for the lm's and the 2 play was for the smec
(??)

You solder a jumper for either LM or SMEC as shown on the bottom layer/

The flashable 4play would be the one to get. No reason to do the old one. I would like a flashable one!!

I missed how the individual cals are selected. ?
