    Turbo Mom Van

ETA: This will now be the project log for this van. It will be a long road for it. In the end it will be a family truckster extraordinaire.

I’m headed out to Co in order to look at a minivan. If all goes well, this should be quite the trip. It’ll be a much faster one than whe;I packed up the Lancer, but it should still offer some photo opportunities. I’ll try to update this thread with some pics as I go.

Just took a whiz next to Cory booker. Seemed like a nice enough guy. Lots of people stopping him for pics, etc. I don’t think that’s for me from what I’ve read.

Just saw a nine lb. service dog being lead by a woman who has had way too much plastic surgery. Yikes.

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
    -- Alexis de Tocqueville

"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
    --Ayn Rand

"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."

Van running well other than hot. It’s rad wAs probably fine for in the mountains where it’s cooler, but it struggled today.i really wish there was some real instrumentation in the vanclusters. I’ve been driving about sixty to be sure the temps stay down.

    Re: On another adventure

Just made it home. Thought I would do my own Vanishing Point remake in the van since the temps cooled off this evening. I'll try to get some pics up. They'll show why I can't believe I wasn't pulled over in this thing with no plates on it.

If it's the one I imagine it is, it's red and partially spraybombed black and super ratty.

    Re: On another adventure

Here are two pics. The paint is horrible, but there is nothing other than surface rust on the van. I have a list of things to fix, but none of them are too bad. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well it ran on the way home.

No, it's not just you. I'm having a hard time getting them uploaded. I took a couple on my Ipad yesterday, but they didn't want to upload at all. I'll probably have to use my 9 step process today. If you imagine your van, but with horrible paint, that's pretty much it.

I can imagine it. The parts van has horrible paint.
Looks like it was just resprayed over the surface rust.

Wow. I'll get some pics up today, but that roof looks familiar minus the new paint.

    Re: On another adventure

Not quite. Here are the two photos which finally transferred from the ipad to my email.

Nope. The awesome photo hosting on this site won't let me upload a 2.2meg photo. So I'll have to resize that huge file... It also turned my photo of the seats sideways. I'm glad that this three day process has been so easy.

    Re: On another adventure

It is super nice on the inside. I'm thrilled about that. The paint is peeling on the outside, and I need to do something about that. The main problem right now is that the headlights don't work.
