    SBEC injector drivers

Which of the following would best describe the factory injector drivers:
    A) 2 amp Peak, 0.5 amp Hold, 43V Zener Voltage Suppression, 14.0 VDC

    B) 4 amp Peak, 1 amp Hold, 4 ms timer, 33V Zener Voltage Suppression, 14.0 VDC

    C) Neither

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    Hi Dan,
I can have a look tonight to see if I can cross-reference.
My guess is C as the injectors are approx 2 ohm and thus 14/2 = 7 amp albeit for a short period of time

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    Hi Dan,
I checked a SBEC2 that I have hacked and three that I could read have a PH4947 but I could not find any info on them. Perhaps a special Cryco part number and one also had a Chrysler part number of 4392616.
Maybe I can test in circuit. I would guess they are N-channel Mosfets

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    Thanks for checking Miles.

I'm asking because I received battery offset data for an injector. It has different scales for type A or B

Low vs high impedance???? I have no idea what is type A or B.. google search was of no help either

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    They are low impedance injectors.
A or B was only a reference to my two initial descriptions in the first post. Those were the driver types for the two separate specs they provided.

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    Dan,
i test a few SBEC and SBEC2 drivers in circuit with my transistor tester but no luck. I guess I need to unsolder them to fully characterize.

    Re: SBEC injector drivers

    Dan,
Last night I checked the MOSFET requirement for speeduino that only works as is for high impedance injectors, they use a STP25N504Z that is rated for 80A ....They don't recommend you use low impedance injectors unless you use series resistors to drop the current..
