    Re: WYB: .91 transfer gears

Omg 1.06! Bad brain fart today also have a set of 1.04s I'm still looking...

Found another set of 1.06 a set of 1.22 took the side cover off of a mystery trans. It also had the 1.06.

I have one more transmission down at Gary Donovans. it is out of a 90 turbo caravan. would this have that gear set in it?

I think the stock set on the Vans were 1.06 so it wouldn't be unless it was changed by someone.

    Re: WYB: .91 transfer gears

Back in the day when I had some auto cars, I remember the radiator (fender) tag had transmission codes which you could use to determine transfer gears installed in vehicle. So easy to spot in salvage yard. IIRC, top line on far right side (three digit code). Could be used to determine ring and pinion and transfer gears by final drive ratio.
Brian, pretty sure I sold all my .91 gear sets, but I'll double check.

    Re: WYB: .91 transfer gears

robskorner used to have complete A 413 listings that included make, model, tire size, transfer ratios, tooth counts etc.

It seems to be gone now but I remember K and L-Bodys with 13" tires were prime candidates.

    Thanks
    Randy

Thanks guys, tooth count would be 52/57 for anyone that is trying to identify.

    Re: WYB: .91 transfer gears

Sorry Brian all my transfer gears outside of working trannies are 1.06:1.
Anyone looking in salvage yards at fender tags the .91 gearsets with 2.60 FD with 2.86:1 ring/pinion would be DLB and the 2.78 FD with 3.05:1 ring and pinion with .91 would be DLD.
So look for DLB or DLD for the .91 transfer gearsets!
