    GLH engine swap

I just bought an 85 GLH-T that I was told had a blown headgasket & the car satfor 3 years. I removed the head & saw the #1 cylinder had a little rust in it. Right where the blown gasket was. Anyways I tried to rotate the bottom end by hand & it's seized up pretty good. I've tried blaster, engine oil & still locked solid. I can tighten the crank bolt without an impact.

I do have a running, although coolant gushing parts GLH-T that I want to swap engines from, but have never done a front drive engine swap. What's the easiest way to do this?

i have had good luck by removing the front crossmember and wheels and lowering the car to the ground if you have a dolly or something put it underneath the motor. disconnect everything and just use a engine hoist to lift the car back over the motor and wheel the motor out from underneath. i usualy find that easier than taking it all out the top cause there is alot of tilting that needs to be done to get the tranny out. and if you just take out the motor and leave the tranny in you will have lots of fun again getting it out with everything in the way and even worse will be trying to get everything to line up again when you try and put it back in.

Take the hood off and use a engine hoist to swap everything from the top. That's what I did.
