    $SOLD:

For Sale: 1988 CSX-T #614. Located near MPLS, MN 55431. Approx. 95K miles. 2017 1st place show winner at SDAC. 33-35 MPG hwy. Very well maintained throughout its life by two adult Shelby Dodge enthusiasts. All receipts going back to 1300 miles. Very good driver paint and interior. Wheels, steering wheel, & window sweeps restored to new condition.

The car is now intercooled and has TII SMEC with all TII pneumatics, and wiring changes. Other mods added are factory cruise, and aftermarket CD changer in trunk with Chrysler head unit. Has aftermarket sunroof that the first owner installed when the car was almost new. Light (50 state legal) window tint on windows. Basic car alarm installed. Manual boost controller set to around 15-16 PSI. Stock exhaust minus cat. (went bad). R134a blows ice cold. Comes with like new all weather car cover.

Has a TU 2 core aluminum intercooled radiator installed currently. Tanks and top and bottom header plates painted black to match factory radiator. Stock CSX intercooler and brackets restored to new condition. It still has the original Mitsubishi turbo on it, otherwise it is exactly like a 88 TII, engine and electric wise (minus the steel crank and bigger rods).

Car will come with all stock parts. (radiator, SMEC, and stock non-intercooled air box assembly). Also included will be all the receipts from previous owner, plus items I have bought and restored for car. I also have chronological documentation of anything that was replaced or repaired on car, along with date and mileage going back to when this car was first pulled out of Thrifty rental duty at 1300 miles. First owner even logged all gas fills! Pretty rare to have this much documentation on a car 30+ years old. Two owner car besides Thrifty.

Car needs nothing. Clutch recently replaced, along with long list of other parts replaced as needed such as wheel bearings, headgasket, alt, waterpump, axles, seals, etc.. Looks great, drives excellent, stops hard, handles great, quiet. Great MPG too, 33-35 MPG on hwy. Ran upper 13 in street trim the one time it was run down quarter mile. Selling because I just have too many cars. For more photos see Garage/Shelby/CSX-T at this site.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Thought it was sold last year at Street Machine Nationals, had three separate interested parties but after 3 day show, no one made contact with me. Couldn't believe none of the three didn't follow through...
Tired of constantly finding storage for all the cars during the winter months. Going to concentrate on just the L-bodies. The larger cars are clearly superior built cars, but love the nimbleness the L-bodies provide. That way the spare parts can be paired down some too. First the Sunlight yellow p-body went, now the CSX-T needs a new home. If it doesn't sell, that's okay too, it is a very fun car to drive. Maybe it will get a Masi 16V transplant if it doesn't sell.

Thanks Randy! I am new to this forum but I have been around since the SDML days (also on TurboDodge.com) I sold my last TD back in 2008 and I have been wanting another and luckily found Todd's CSX-T. My dad and I built this TIII CSX back in the early 2000's, now owned by Rick Diogo.

    WOW.. SDML days!!

You must be an old timer like me, our paths must have crossed online at some point.

The T-III CSX is very cool too.

Rick Diogo, now there's a name I haven't heard in a while, I believe he had a Masi powered 87 GLHS??

    Thanks
    Randy

Yes Rick still has that car also I believe. My dad bought me my 87 Shelby Z in 1994 when I was 15, just turned 40 this year, dad bought his 87 CSX around 1998. He (and I) have always been into the muscle Mopars but he got the TD bug while we were upgrading or fixing my Daytona. He wishes he would have hung onto the CSX, it was really a neat car.

    Re: 1988 csx-t #614/1000

The longest I have ever owned a car is the Black 1986 Omni Turbo in my avatar.

Feb, 22, 1986 some unknown force pulled me into a local Chrysler dealer and I was hooked!!

About 2 yrs later I sold my V8 Lamborghini, kept the Omni, and still have it.

I hope you enjoy the new CSX-T, as Todd owned it one can be assured it's a good one!!

    Thanks
    Randy
