found a pic with the "good" tread style (not mine)

    205 50 15 , yeah odd size
guy handed them over the tire counter and asked what the hell they fit
for simplicity I just said dodge omni with turbo option ...

    "OH"..nodding with a confused look
    (different tire set)

Yikes. The 205/50r15 was used on a ton of cars through the years. From Dodges and Porsches in the 80s, to Miatas in the 2000s if I'm not mistaken.

    Re: looking for tire options

Here are a couple pictures of my Shelby Lancer and old Shelby CSX with 205/50/16. Seemed like a perfect size for a P-body (to me), even though the CSX originally had 205/50/15.

I think 225/45/16 is also an excellent size, as long as you have a wide enough wheel for them. You probably won't find a whole lot of choices in that size though. I only have 16x6 factory wheels, so I went with the 205/50/16 instead. You should find a lot of choices in that size.

I had those on both my Turbo Z/CS and my GLHS back in the day, and I really wasn't a fan. Seemed like they spun and slid too easily, and they definitely hydroplaned too easily. But I'll grant I had no idea how old they were at the time I was driving them.

    Re: looking for tire options

    I ran 215 60 15's on both my daytonas
made quite a ride improvement over the 225 50 15's however they JUST touch the front of the wheel well opening on the passenger side
pass side wheel is always slightly forwards of the driver's in our cars

it did not rub hard enough to wear the paint off though
