Caliber SRT4 MPX Catless downpipe, CPE Cat-back exhaust

Modern Performance MPX Catless downpipe for Caliber SRT4- 3.5" stainless, $280 shipped obo

The support braces on these are notorious for cracking- this one has had the brace repaired and reinforced, and then I fabricated a new support bracket once on the car to eliminate extra stress. Now the tricky part- This pipe came off a salvage car, and the outlet had been welded to the previous car by someone who had no business operating a welder (Flux core and stainless don't mix). The only way to save it was to have the outlet extension cut off and replaced. I cut the section off and replaced it with 3" 409 stainless, and had it tig welded. Down part is the factory Caliber exhaust is a hair too small to slide on nicely. It can be done, but you'll want to either expand the exhaust or cut the inlet off the cat-back and use a 3" to 3" adapter.

CPE 3" Stainless cat-back exhaust (pics coming) $400 shipped obo

This is a lightweight stainless 3" cat back system that replaces the factory "suitcase" muffler with a smaller straight-through muffler (factory muffler was nearly identical to Dodge truck muffler). This was the second biggest improvement to my car's performance next to the Real-Tune computer, and this exhaust is no longer made by CPE. Includes the supplemental hanger, all clamps, and all the rubber isolators, and can be bolted on in about an hour. I already had it packaged for a buyer who backed out, so pictures coming soon.

I know there's a few CSRT4 owners on here, and I'm parting out a nearly complete car (Drivetrain already gone). All Caliber parts will be listed on several Facebook groups as well, but I'd rather deal here, so make offers for anything you may need or want. I'm only listing a handful of parts, but I'll pull off anything you want. Interior, wheels, brakes, anything, just PM with offers.

Adam, can you post a picture of the CPE cat-back? I'm really interested in this to go along with the Needswings cat-less/cut-out downpipe I already have. Are the sections welded together already or do they clamp together? I've heard lots of good things about the CPE cat-back and it sounds like the way to go.

Yeah I'll get you some pics tomorrow. I actually have it all packed up and ready to ship, but the guy just kind of disappeared so I guess he doesn't want it. They are clamp together, using the same Torca clamps that were used by the factory, and had the same E-notches that the factory exhaust used. It took me about an hour or so to do the swap, and it definitely improved the low end torque.

You don't have to unbox the whole works just for pics if you already have it ready to ship. I was mostly concerned that it was welded and would be difficult/impossible to ship without cutting it up.

Lol, well I already have it opened up because I had to pack up the side window louvres and ran out of padding, so I robbed it from the exhaust package. I need to go dig my truck out of the snow and then I'll head down to the shop to get your pics.

Cool. No rush here....Gotta huge stack of parts mounting for the upgrade/repair bonanza when the weather starts getting nicer.

Here ya go. All the clamps and the rubber isolators are included. I have it boxed up and in the back of the truck; I can ship it tomorrow evening.

Are you sure you don't want the MPX downpipe too? It's a half inch bigger than the Needswings piece . . .

Hmmm...I will have to check/measure the NW DP I have. I guess I could always resell it, but I like that it has the cutout provision...

Yeah, the cutout would actually help more than a full exhaust.

Then I'd ditch the cutout downpipe. That 3.5" downpipe is nice. Though just one straight through muff might be a little on the loud side. My magnaflow has 2 straight throughs. Still a good deal. If I didn't already have the exhaust I have on the daughters SRT4 I'd buy it.

Mine was definitely louder, but not unbearable. Chock one up for improved sound deadening.
