    Flashable SMEC Module

    Good morning all,
I am curious if the boost module parts are still available to convert a socketed SMEC. Would this require more of the potting material to be removed?
I believe I may go this route instead of using a Ostrich if it is still an option.

    Thanks all

    Hello,
I assume that the "boost module" is a typo and you meant "flash module. The answer is yes. The easiest way is to contact Rob M aka Forced Fed Mopar at Boostbutton.

    Re: Flashable SMEC Module

I also am interested in setting up a SMEC so it can be flashed directly. I found Boostbuttons OSH Park board designs. ( https://oshpark.com/profiles/BoostButton/page/2) But since they are not a assembled board I would need some help to assemble a SMEC flash board. After its assembled I found this thread on installing it. ( http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...ashable-module ) and this one (http://www.merkurboys.com/wiki/index...C:FlashInstall )

    Re: Flashable SMEC Module

    Thanks for the video link.

The help I'm seeking would be component identification.
This would included component specifics. IE directinal
Sadly I have no formal training in electronics. I rely mostly on the help of others. I try to help others when I can.

    Re: Flashable SMEC Module

If you look closely at the pictures in the thread about installing the module that you linked, you an see which way the 28c256 is installed. The PCB markings indicate how the 74HC00s are installed.

You'll need one 28c256, two 74HC00s, and a bunch of header pins to solder on.
