Thread: Windshield Wipers (assembly)

    Windshield Wipers (assembly)

Removed in pieces a while back (all the bushings failed). QUESTIONS: 1. Explain the point where both arms connect to the wiper motor ? Any pictures ? How many bushings are there ? 2. How do you reinstall ? Arms to pivots first, then motor ? Then reach under cowl and connect (press) arms onto motor pivot point ? I hope this explains it.

I had a problem this year with mine and did some research. I had only one bad bushing in mine, and I managed to replace it in place. What a bear! I'm guessing it will not be the last one I need to do. Here are a few links I saved, which I found to be helpful. Good luck!

You can do it in pretty much any order. I think there are three bushings on the P body cars. Either way, just buy two of the variety packs from the help section in the parts store and you'll be all set. I did mine at a gas station at SDAC this year. Fun times.

Just as a side note - the wiper arm bushings are still readily available from the dealer- i just got some from the parts department at work last week.
