    Anti-rattle clips still available anywhere?

89 Daytona, solid rear discs. Finally I've had enough of listening to these rear calipers rattling any time the road isn't glass-smooth. I've got the clips in the front and they're fine, but does anybody know if the clips for the rear are still available?

There's a flip side to the annoying rattle...you know they aren't sticking. A long time ago I had the same gripe until I was reminded of this. Yeah, I still hate the rattle, but now I just remind myself that the brakes aren't sticking.

So the rears aren't like the fronts where there's a spring taking up slack? They're just shims?

More accurately, those repair the spots where the rattling pads have worn away the guides, which should effectively cure the rattle. The inner pad is held in place by the clip that fits inside the piston, and the outer pad is held by clips that hold it to the caliper body (shown in picture on the link). So if you have rattles, the only thing left is the guides.

Best thing to do if you have those worn spots in your pad slides is to mig some metal in there and grind it smooth again.

I don't disagree, but these polished stainless caps are pretty quick and easy.

...and welding (still after this many years) isn't possible for me. I'll give them a shot.

No doubt, and when used , the caps should prevent the groves from happening.
