I'm looking for some help determining "IF" the connector in the middle picture used any sort of wire lock to lock the connector in place? I vaguely seem to remember it did. This connector came off a 93 FFV 2.5. The vehicle is long gone, but I'm using the near perfect harness to replace a harness in a 1990 SBEC (sequential) 2.5 turbo. After removing all the unused wires (4 way o2 connector) and grafting on the 1990 6 way injector harness connector, it fits like it was born there.
For reference, I'm also showing pics. of earlier EV1 connectors from 84-89 with wire lock and rubber boot & later model connector from later 90's 3.0. 3.0 connector positively locked onto injector using plastic squeeze connector. I believe all three would be considered EV1 connectors, but the one I'm using snaps onto the injector, but it will pull off after tugging on it a little bit. I also saw some EV1 connectors on Chrysler 2.5 V6 Mitsubishi engines at salvage yard (not pictured) that didn't use any type of positive lock. They could be removed but you had to tug on them pretty hard.
So if they do have some sort of lock, and someone has some they're willing to sell, I'm interested. PM me if you have what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance for the advice.
