Those pans were notorious for being really beat up by people jacking the car up by the oil pan. Tough to find one that isn't all rusted and dented. Many times the pickup is bent along with the dented pan it came out of. A severely dented pan can effect oil pumps performance. BTW the 5 quart pan (85-88 T1) will also fit your vehicle. You just need to run the corresponding dipstick and pickup. IIRC, the 5 qt. pan used a silver handled dipstick while the 4 qt. pans used a black dipstick. I personally prefer the 5 qt. pans over the 4 qt. pans esp. when running baffles.
