Where did you find your build sheet?

Just wondering what the common places are to find the prized original build sheets.

All the L-body ones I've found were either under the carpeting or the rear seat. Sadly, the three P-bodies I've owned I never found one. Found a paint defect sheet under carpeting also on one of my 86 "S" cars too.

I found 2 build sheets in 87 CSX 550. One in the front and rear passenger side foot wells. Unfortunately they were so baked onto the floorpan there is no hope of retrieving them. You could faintly read the word Shelby hand written on one of the sheets.

I have found 4 build sheets. 90, 91, and 92 Spirits, they were on the passenger side floor board. Keep in mind those were Spirit ES cars, US built. Never found one in a Spirit R/T. The 84 Chrysler Laser XE I found was under the spare tire.

Post resurrect! Now I'm on a mission. I removed my tail lights in order to fix my leaking 3rd brake light. When I removed the driver's side tail light, I noticed a piece of paper shoved inside the rear fender. It's the paint defect sheet, clearly dated Apr 24, 1989!! I would kill to have the build sheet to go along with it.

I just spent an hour taking the rear seat and the front passenger seat out. I checked all underneath the carpet and found nothing. I had the driver's front carpet pulled up when I first bought the car so I could weld in a new patch of floor. It wasn't there either. The only place I haven't checked is behind all of the large hatch trim pieces in the back.

Has anyone found one in a Daytona? Lots of comments here, but no Daytonas.

Paint defect sheet is someone in quality control found a paint defect, or improper margins, water leakage, etc. of body panels or gaskets. They fill out the paint defect sheet by circling the area on the diagrams where the defect is, so the people that need to fix it knows where to look for the issue. It then gets brought to another area to get repaired. On mine it was just one of the front fenders didn't align very well with the radiator core support at the front/bottom of fender. I'm pretty sure I have pics of one or more if you're really curious.
