Good morning all!
My son's '87 CSX needs a 2.2 shortblock, nothing special. Thought I'd inquire if anyone had one for sale as his has a cracked deck.
We have one here he could rebuild but I have zero time to assist due to work.

Working on clearing the decks.
no. no. no.
The kid can't be bothered to keep an 8 valve alive. Personally I have already told him to sell the car and buy a toyota and be done with it. I have literately wasted months of my time that could have been used working on my own vehicles, instead of keeping his car on the road due to carelessness and neglect. I'm done after this.

MAN! You sound like ME! 10 years ago. It gets better or so I hear?
You guys should have a daughter like mine! She loves to work on cars. She just painted the calipers on her 2018 WRX and helped with brakes on her Mom's truck. Installed fender flairs on Mom's truck two weeks ago. Maybe we need to rebuild a 2.2 TII as a father/daughter project!! over the winter.

I have a 85 T1 short block being run in a T2 setup that could use a quickie refresh. Makes 140psi across all 4 cylinders. Being removed for a 89 T2. Have across to a 86 T1 with 80k miles that was in an auto car also.
No go on the 86 sorry, friend decided he's going to sit on it like everything else.

...OK, maybe not! I have a Turbo II *longblock* that I built that I would sell. It's still on the stand, but freight would probably be insane from Wyoming. I don't think I have a use for it now that the SL Masi 16v conversion was successful.
I have an 88 T2 long block for sale. $150 plus the ride.
